Prouts in the winter

I found two pictures that Craig sent to Teri (Wes' mom) and I. He took these a few days ago. This is a view from a lot in Prouts. Isn't it beautiful?...

Prouts Neck 1

Prouts Neck 2

This is one side of the neck, or peninsula. There is beach along both sides and at the tip of the neck there are rocks (where we grill on Sunday's). The whole of Prouts Neck is about two miles long. I just love it there! I wrote a piece for creative writing in high school. I was asked to write about a place where I remembered feeling at peace. I wrote about nights in Prouts where I would walk home along the beach and sit right where the steps meet the path. The moon would bounce off the water, and I would just sit, look at the stars, listen to the waves crashing against the shore, and thank God for his awesome creation!

When I was younger, my mom and I used to walk home from the sing together, and we would stop and lay down in the grass. We would look up through tree braches and find the shapes they would make against the sky. We would watch the stars and talk just the two of us. Those are some great memories!

it looks lovely. I used to go to maine every summer with friends and it was always the highlight of my summer - fishing, lobster rolls, swimming, lobster rolls, hiking. did I mention the lobster rolls?

Where in Maine did you go? I have been every summer of my life, and I love it there! We definately eat a lot of lobster, but I have to say my favorite is my mom's blueberry crisp made with the wild blueberries that come out in July, topped off with vanilla ice cream. It is sooo good!
